Poirot was invited to relax at the estate of her acquaintance, Lady Enquitall, called "Hollow". Arriving at the place, the detective sees an amazing sculptural composition: Dr. Christou picturesquely lies in a puddle of red paint, his wife Gerda stands above him with a gun, and the rest of the guests froze around in a dumb pause. However, reality had nothing to do with art: the red paint turned out to be blood, and the gun in the hands of the woman was real. There is a murder. Poirot finds out that the deceased in his lifetime led a rather confusing personal life, and all his "attachments" are currently in the "Hushroom". All evidence indicates Kristou"s wife. But Poirot smells: something is wrong here
