Vyacheslav Aleksandrovich Kalikinsky (b. 1951) - prose writer, journalist, member of the Union of Writers of Russia, laureate of a number of journalistic prizes, including the A.P. Chekhov award. Lives and works in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. A series of books "Agasfer" is a cycle of espionage retro detectives dedicated to the work of the counterintelligence of Russia in the late XIX - early XX centuries.
The action of the historical and detective novel "The Golden Loop" takes place in a new historical reality that came after the revolution and came to power of the Bolsheviks. Gradually fading in a foreign land, Mikhail Berg, in the past, a brilliant officer, agrees to the last task of Japanese intelligence. Together with his son Andrei, the same age as the new century, Berg will have to participate in the search for the notorious gold reserve of the empire. The investigation in the alien Russia that has become full of dangerous turns, because not only they are hunting for "golden echelons". As in other books of the Agasfer cycle, many events took place in reality 100 years ago, and real historical figures turn out to be some characters in the novel
