The cycle of the novels of Ivan Pogonin "Finding Odyssey" talks about the life and service of the police overseer Osip Tarakanov. The cycle begins with the story about how, in 1906, at the height of the first Russian revolution, the nineteen -year -old Tarakanov investigates his first business. The incident takes place in the county city of Kashira, the Tula province. An attack on the postal and telegraph office was committed, a guard was killed, a large amount of money was stolen. During the day, cockroaches reveals the robbery, but the leader of the gang manages to leave. From that moment on, the young detective overseer begins to look for the offender on his own, and the searches turn into a real Odyssey
