They say that the level of development of society is determined by the attitude of children, old people and animals. This is the warm and hooligan story “The Road to Tortuga”. There is a boy in it who does not need parents, an old man who does not need a daughter, and a dog who was brought to the forest to die. But they all need each other. Tishka is nine years old, and his dad likes to repeat that children are nails in the coffin cover. Therefore, the boy was nicknamed the carnation. Once he meets an eccentric one -eyed old man, whom everyone calls a goat grandfather. But in fact, he turns out to be a cheerful and kind skipper. The old man lives in a private house intended for demolition, on the edge of a new microdistrict. And it refers its overgrown area only as Tortuga - the island of the pirates. Carnation and skipper become friends. However, their cheerful life is in danger in the person of the daughter of the old man Lara, who wants to send his father to the nursing home, and sell Tortuga. She almost succeeds, but friends run away. They go on a dangerous trip along the river on a home -made raft in search of a real cake, the one in the Caribbean. They are waiting for adventure, shipwreck, night forest, talent competition, illness and test. And all in order to become a real family and find their personal island of freedom.
