The criminal police inspector Sam Berger and his subordinates burst into an abandoned house, where, according to their assumption, the maniac holds a stolen fifteen -year -old girl. There is nobody in the house, but they find a musty basement with traces of blood and marks on the concrete floor. Contrary to the opinion of the authorities, the inspector is confident that there are many victims on the criminal’s account, so he in parallel conducts his own investigation, sometimes violating the law. Berger has his own secret interest in this matter: each time the maniac leaves a message at the crime scene, which only he can understand
