Trumen Kapota, author of such bestsellers as “Breakfast at Tiffany” (a story glorified in 1961 by adaptation with Audrey Hepburn in the title role), “Voices of grass”, “Other voices, other rooms”, “Ghosts in the sunlight” and others , is one of the largest American prose writers of the 20th century. Many consider the most significant work of Kapota the novel “Cold -blooded murder”, based on the history of a real crime and revealing the nature of violence as a complex social and psychological phenomenon. The book of Kapote, which instantly became a bestseller, gave rise to a special genre of Roman-Reporting and opened the path of the prose of Norman Meler and Tom Wolf.
