The writer Andrei Nekrasov knew the naval case firsthand: he entered the sailor at the fishing vessel in Murmansk very young, and later hit the Pacific coast and emanated from Chukotka to Posyet. He was a stoker, St. John"s wort, navigator, and even engaged in the organization of whaling industry. In the same years, he began to write and publish in children"s magazines and newspapers, and he took many stories of his stories from life. Captain Vrungel also had a real prototype - this is Captain Andrei Vronsky, who headed the first whaling trust in the Far East, and at his leisure loved to tell exciting fables from marine life.
