The issues of calculating electrical loads and compensation of reactive power are highlighted. The methodology for choosing the number and power of power transformers of the GPP based on a technical and economic justification has been considered. The methodology for calculating short -circuit currents on the distribution devices of the highest and lower voltages of the GPP is given in the maximum and minimum modes, taking into account the fueling point of the short circuit with high -voltage and low -voltage engines. The main provisions on choosing sources of operational current are considered.
