The textbook is devoted to the basics of designing modern accurate devices, which are typical representatives of which are optical devices containing mechanical, electronic and optical functional devices and elements. The specifics of the design of such devices lies in the fact that their quality indicators and primarily indicators of accuracy, technological and reliability are substantially dependent on the implementation of certain methods, rules and principles of design, methods and methods of parametric and accurant synthesis of structures, knowledge of ways and techniques of increase Quality targets in design. The book consists of four parts. The first part addresses methods, general rules and principles for the design of accurate devices and their elements. The second outlines the basics of the theory of accuracy and the concept of reliability of instruments. The third part is devoted to modern methods of improving the quality of instruments when designing, including algorithmic (digital) correction of errors. In the fourth part, typical designs of assembly units and elements of accurate devices are given, their alignment and control methods are considered. The textbook is intended for students, undergraduates, graduate students and teachers of higher educational institutions of the instrument-making professional, as well as engineering and technical workers in industry
