The use of electric heating in the oil and gas industry is currently quite widespread, but it is not high in the technical literature. This book provides a comprehensive idea of all stages of creating electrical heating systems of pipelines, tanks, control cabinets and other equipment. The book discusses the evolution of the development of heating pipeline transport in Russia, methods of thermal and electrical calculations of the parameters and the foundations of the design of heating systems. A separate chapter is devoted to the skin-systems of heating, receiving increasingly distribution when heating high-length pipelines. Descriptions of management subsystems and specialized power supply subsystems are given, including taking into account the requirements dictated by the standards for ensuring explosion safety of heated objects. Specific instructions for the installation and commissioning of electrical heating systems are complemented by chapters associated with calculations and design.
