"Dersu Uzala" is one of the most vivid works of the famous Russian explorer and writer Vladimir Arsenyev, written based on the results of the 1907-1908 expedition to the Ussuri region. This novella tells about the thrilling adventures during the exploration of the Russian Far East, about true male friendship, the beauty of the taiga, the necessity to preserve and respect the unique nature, and to remain human in any circumstances. The novella has been reprinted multiple times, but this version is considered the most interesting and beautiful. In the richly illustrated volume, there is a large number of documents, maps, and photographs taken by Arsenyev himself, as well as by his modern followers. The reader can see how the forests, waterfalls, and mountains that the explorer passed through look now, as well as the plants, birds, and animals he encountered. This book is the final project of the remarkable traveler and journalist, the chief editor of 'Komsomolskaya Pravda,' Vladimir Nikolaevich Sungorkin.
