An assessment of existing technologies and equipment for gas flame spraying and arc metallization has been carried out to determine their suitability for deposition of corrosion-resistant coatings on welded joints of main gas pipelines. The existing regulatory framework of the technological process and the experience of application on similar objects have been considered. An assessment of the risks of possible emergency situations related to the depressurization of main gas pipelines has been conducted.
