Before having children, I thought that motherhood was in my blood. Like all women on our planet. Based on movies and TV shows, I imagined it in pink colors with unicorns and rainbows. I believed that it was all pure happiness and nothing else. Naive...
Motherhood greeted me with depression, emptiness, lack of sleep, breakdowns, tears, and screams. And just when things seemed to be getting better, I went for another round - jealousy appeared, the desire to escape, self-hatred, and a whole bouquet of emotions.
I thought, what kind of mother am I? Why can't I do anything right? To save myself, I started drawing comics to share my pain. And as it turned out, there are many of us like that.
When I found out that I was not alone, it became much easier for me.
