This textbook is a significantly revised and expanded edition of the 'Practical Course of Danish Language' by A.S. Novakovich, prepared by the Department of Scandinavian Languages at MGIMO University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. The goal of the textbook is to develop oral communication skills in Danish within the scope of everyday and some socio-cultural topics. It includes an introductory phonetic course and an accompanying section consisting of phonetic and lexical-grammatical programmed exercises with answer keys, a main course with a sequential presentation of lexical-grammatical material and its reinforcement through a system of communicative exercises and lesson-by-lesson comments, as well as an appendix consisting of programmed lexical-grammatical exercises with answer keys. The textbook lessons contain references to corresponding sections of the 'Grammar of the Danish Language' placed at the end of the book. The textbook is primarily intended for use in educational institutions, as well as for self-study of the Danish language.
