Prince Daniel Romanovich Galitsky (1204-1264) professed Orthodoxy, but was a quarter of the Pole and never forgot about his Polish family. He survived the Ordia invasion, did not like Tatars and sought contacts with the West. He led the correspondence with the Dukes and the kings, and the crown received from the Roman dad. Daniel willingly moved to his skillful Germans and enterprising Jews, established communications with Armenian merchants and the Italians. With Daniel, the Galico-Volyn Principality experienced the highest political and economic ascent, but after a few decades after the death of Prince-king, the Poles and Lithuans were divided by the country. The Russians turned into a silent majority that Pany called cattle, livestock. People have lost historical memory: the wagonism disappeared, foreigners became in power. And the main thing, the paths with the eastern brothers - those founded Moscow, - forever dispersed. The reasons of the tragedy reflect on the writer-historian S.N. Chernyavsky
