In the hands of the modern-day antiquarian Kirill Rovny, a vintage document falls - the diary of the knight Philippe de Lalene from the 15th century. This marks the beginning of a series of dizzying adventures, which include horror, mysticism, and historical detective work. The antiquarian studies the manuscript, while mysterious and sometimes downright terrifying events unfold in the city: his friend dies, decapitated corpses come to life, and the streets are filled with crowds of zombies. It seems that Kirill himself becomes the main target of the evil forces. Together with a small group of interested individuals, he decides to conduct his own investigation and embarks on a very unusual and risky expedition. Somewhere in the past, in the Burgundian town of Saint-Clair-sur-l'Oise, something sinister is also happening: news stops coming from there, and all messengers sent to the town disappear. Knight de Lalene is sent with a small army to investigate the dangerous lands and find out what is going on. The two plotlines will inevitably converge to reveal the mystery of the vanished city.
