Dandelion roots are included in the composition of cholagogue, diuretic, and appetizing teas.
Dandelion medicinal preparations are used for the prevention of general atherosclerosis.
Indications: used to increase appetite and improve digestion. It enhances bile secretion, has a toning effect on the gallbladder, exhibits diuretic, antispasmodic, and laxative properties, which is why its use is indicated in cholecystitis, gastritis complicated by hepatobiliary system pathology, and chronic constipation.
Contraindications: pregnancy, lactation period, childhood, increased blood clotting.
Method of administration: a decoction of dandelion roots is prepared in a ratio of 10 g or 1 tablespoon of raw material per 200 ml of boiling water, the prepared decoction is taken one-third of a glass 3-4 times a day, 15 minutes before meals.
