Current aspects of the clinic, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases of the gallbladder and bile ducts.

The textbook reflects modern views on the etiology, pathogenesis, classification of the main diseases of the gallbladder and biliary tract. Information on the epidemiology, clinical picture of diseases, criteria for their diagnosis and differential diagnosis, treatment, and prevention is provided. Materials from recent scientific and scientific-practical conferences and symposiums, as well as standards of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the World Health Organization, recommendations of international experts, the Scientific Society of Gastroenterologists of Russia (NOGR), and the Russian Gastroenterological Association (RGA), and articles by authors in peer-reviewed journals were used in the preparation of the manual. The publication is intended for doctors and clinical residents studying in the system of postgraduate professional education for doctors in the specialties: 'Therapy', 'Gastroenterology', 'General Medical Practice (Family Medicine)', as well as for medical students studying in the specialties 'Medicine' and 'Pediatrics'.
