Curator

A city in the world of American steampunk. Horse-drawn carriages coexist with trams, residents worship cats, epidemics of cholera and chickenpox rage in the slums. A revolution has just taken place, and now the country is torn apart by civil war. A girl named Dee asks to be appointed as the curator of the Society for the Study of Connections with Other Realities, in an attempt to find her deceased older brother - if not among the living, then among the dead... or in other worlds. Meanwhile, in a neighboring half-destroyed museum, strange exhibits appear on their own, a mysterious black-bearded inhabitant of the former embassy tortures people entrusted to him by unknown forces to death, and the gloomy Morgue Ship gathers a team of the dead at night...
