The textbook reveals the laws of development of world artistic culture from its origin in primitive society to the era of revival and considers outstanding works of various types of art created in Europe, Asia, Africa, Central America and Russia. The central place in it is occupied by the identification of similarities and differences in the artistic and figurative system of works of art and the display of pictures of the world, spiritual and moral searches and universal values and ideals of man of a particular era. According to the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Secondary (Complete) General Education, the textbook contains variable tasks for the independent work of students, focusing on the use of computer technology, laid the foundations for the implementation of design and research activities, as well as helping to organize and plan educational cooperation and consistent interaction of participants. The textbook includes supporting visual notes and reference materials.
