The focus of the scientific works that compiled a real collection is the current problem of transnational processes in Russian literature and culture. The authors consider international literary and cultural contacts, as well as the role of intermediaries in the development of Russian culture. These include I. Krylov, L. Tolstoy, A. Akhmatov, M. Tsvetaeva, O. Mandelstam and other, not so famous writers. The chronological framework of research covers the period from the first quarter of the XIX to the middle of the twentieth century
