The book is dedicated to one of the mass operations of the NKVD of the USSR, carried out in 1937-1938 as part of the so-called "Harbin operation of the NKVD". Former employees of the CRC, reemigrants from Manchuria, as well as citizens who had related, official or other connections were subjected to repression. They were all accused of espionage in favor of Japan. The operation was carried out in accordance with the resolution of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the All -Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks of September 19, 1937 and on the basis of the order of the People"s Commissar of Internal Affairs of the USSR N. I. Ezhov No. 00593 of September 20, 1937. The book is based on many documents stored in the archives of the FSB, in various state and departmental archives. In this work, 126 of them are given. Based on the documents, all stages of the operation are described, its anatomy - what documents, when and by whom they were executed, who made certain decisions, statistical information about the operation is given. Many documents are published for the first time. 1057 names are mentioned in the book and included in the annotated pointer, with respect to 757 of them, brief biographical data are given. The book is intended for scientists-historians, students of humanitarian universities, law enforcement officers and a wide range of readers interested in the history of our country
