The proposed book belongs to the pen of the English writer and religious figure Montague Summers (1880-1948) A birth Protestant, in his youth, Summers turned into Catholicism and became an authoritative spiritual teacher, which did not at all prevent him from being interested in demonology. Its famous "" History of Witchcraft "" (1926) contains a tremendous factual material under which the conclusion states: black magic really exists and the medieval “witch hunt” was far from always explained by church obscurantism.
