The book is dedicated to the most fruitful period of domestic culture, when the Russian nobility, perceiving European influences, but not abandoning the roots, managed to create unique moral and aesthetic ideals. The single stream of Russian education captured all spheres of creative activity, giving rise to high samples that were included in the treasury of world culture. The author, paying tribute to these achievements and dwelling on individual movements - from sentimentalism to a “natural school”, at the same time analyzes the social processes of the heyday, which prepared the emergence of a new cultural force that appeared in the person of a ranging of a ranging of a ranger. The carriers of the Vygochinsky ideology destroyed the world in which their noble predecessors so comfortably felt, and at its wreckage erected their building, which stood before the revolutionary storms of the 20th century.
