The fundamental work "History of Russia since ancient times" of the outstanding scientist Sergei Mikhailovich Solovyov (1820-1879) has no equal in Russian science. None of the domestic historians, neither to Solovyov, nor after him, in his attempts to state the course of Russian history, did not cover such a huge chronological space: but this is twenty -three centuries, starting from the 5th century BC! The scientist spent on the creation of this colossal work long 30 years of tireless daily work.
