The book is dedicated to the little -known pages of the Silver Age of Russian culture: the activities of the first legally designed bibliophil association of Russia - a circle of lovers of Russian elegant publications and its permanent chairman V.A. Vereshchagin, the life and work of bibliophiles and collectors: N.V. Solovyov - editor -publishing house of the magazines "Antikvar" and "Russian Bibliophile", P.P. Weiner - editor -publisher of the monthly "Old years", N.N. Wrangel is an outstanding art historian of the early twentieth century, the theme of the named magazines, the activities of the Society for the Protection and Preservation of Monuments of Art and Old Monuments in Russia.
The book is the second, significantly supplemented publication, consists of five essays (there were four of them in the first edition) In 2007, the International Charity Fund named after D.S. Likhacheva noted the first publication by the Antsifer diploma "for the best research work on St. Petersburg, published in 2005-2007."
Interest is represented by applications - mostly unique publications and publications of the Silver Age. The book contains many rare illustrations provided by the author, who expresses gratitude to the bibliophile Igor Valentinovich Bykov for disinterested help in their selection and acquisition of applications.
The publication is intended for historians, bibliophiles, museum workers, art historians, bibliographers, local historians and a wide range of readers interested in the history of Russian culture.
