It was not possible to give birth to children, and they were sent to orphans, where they allowed them to calmly die. Jean-Jacques Rousseau sent all his legal children to a shelter, but at the same time wrote the novel “Emil”, which raises important problems of the free, harmonious education of a person in the era of the age of reason.
