In this monograph, a comprehensive analysis of the “demonic” concept was first carried out on the material of the Russian artistic culture of the Silver Age, the origins of the “demonic” are shown, sociocultural factors were studied that contribute to the formation of ideas about the “demonic”, and the place of “demonic” in the culture of the Russian Renaissance is comprehended. “Demonic” is considered as a generalizing cultural films category, which includes three main aspects: sacred, aesthetic and ethical, closely interconnected and forming syncretic unity, close in meaning to dionyshy (in the Nietzschean sense) The work explains why, in the artistic culture of the Silver Age, “demonic” occupies such an important, and sometimes directly central place.
For the first time, the cultural fislosophical foundations of the “demonic”, associated with the inexplicability of the appearance in the individual and social life of the diverse and unpredictable manifestations of evil, often in the attractive aesthetic shell, which declares itself as a formidable and insurmountable force that reality in the world. The study of the “demonic” as a problem-thematic, value-semantic and plot-forming motive in various spheres of Russian culture of the Silver Age-in poetry, prose, painting, music, aesthetics and philosophy, and the place of “demonic” in culture as a universal cultural fishene is also undertaken. Categories that develop in the era of romanticism and received its final development at the turn of the XIX - XX centuries. - In the forms of early modernism and avant -garde.
