Reprint from the publication. SPb., 1900. With a portrait and two plans. Suvorov performed a number of military, political, diplomatic, engineering and organizational missions in the Kuban, in many ways determining the further development of the region and even its geography. He arrived in the Kuban in 1778 to establish peace between the Union of Russia by the Nogai tribes, wandering along the northern bucket and mountain peoples of the Caucasus. To distinguish between the highlanders and Nogais, Suvorov decides to create a Kuban defensive line. The system of fortifications of 9 fortresses and 20 feldshans stretched along the Kuban River by 540 miles - from Stavropol to the Black Sea. Suvorov personally chose a place for the construction of each fortification. The visit of Suvorov to the Kuban in June 1783 was due to the annexation of Crimea to Russia. The commander was entrusted with diplomatic methods, without using weapons, to bring the peoples of the Right -bank Kuban to the citizenship of Russia. Suvorov coped with this, but a little later, when two Nogai hordes raised the rebellion, he still had to demonstrate the military power of the empire. Suvorov headed the Zakuban campaign of the Russian troops and defeated the rebels. Circulation 30 copies. Made using Print-on-Demand technology
