The book represents a reissue of the articles of the outstanding domestic historian Valentina Grigoryevna Chernukhi (1930–2014), published in different years. V. G. Chernukha published her first works half a century ago, but her scientific heritage has not yet lost significance for modern researchers. The collection is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the historian. It contains articles that were not included in the well-known monographs of the scientist, as well as draft materials for lectures that V. G. Chernukha read at the European University in St. Petersburg. All publications are united by a common topic - the problems of the internal policy of the Russian Empire of the second half of the XIX century.
The publication is addressed to a wide range of specialists engaged in teaching and studying the domestic policy of the Russian Empire: teachers, students, historians, as well as everyone interested in domestic history.
Compiled by I.E. Barykina
