The noble genealogy book of the St. Petersburg province was instituted in 1786. In its original, legalized form, it was conducted until 1845. In the fire that happened in the building of D.D.S. On December 4, 1845, it was possible to save from the fire of the Tom of the genealogy book, while the bulk of the cases started by the petitions of the nobles burned down. After that, the pedigree book, in fact, was not conducted.
The noble birthday published by the St. Petersburg Noble Book is placed:
1) entered in the noble pedigree book of the St. Petersburg /Petrograd province until the October Revolution of 1917 and approved by decrees of the Governing Senate In the hereditary nobility, both in the St. Petersburg and any other province,
2) legally full of the noble births, adopted in the St. Petersburg provincial noble assembly since 1994 at the time of publication The next letter of the alphabet, in compliance with the requirements of the charter, the fundamental of which are the following: members of the St. Petersburg provincial noble assembly can be only legal descendants of the Russian hereditary nobles, whose births are approved by decrees of the government Senate, persons registered in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region
or owning a real estate in the named constituent entities of the Federation, as well as all those, regardless of the first two requirements whose ancestors were made in the noble pedigree book of the St. Petersburg / Petrograd province
