Russian historian and translator Andrei Ivanovich Lyzlov (d. After 1696) - one of the first Russian historians in the modern sense of the word, the forerunner of the Great M.V. Lomonosov and V.N. Tatishchev. In 1692 he finished work on the "Scythian history", in which he described the struggle of the Russian people with the Mongol-Tatar and Turkish conquerors. Lyzlov used a large circle of sources and historical works (annals, chronographs, bit books, options for "Kazan History", Ukrainian historical works, Polish-Lithuanian chronicles, compositions of Latin-Italian and other authors) The Scythian History has already become widespread in the manuscript in Russia, then N.I. Novikov (in 1776 and 1787)
