Russian Messianism. Prophetic, messianic, eschatological motifs in Russian poetry

The book on the vast historical and literary material traces the formation and development of the professional tradition in Russian poetry, social thought, and visual arts. Prophetic, messianic and eschatological motifs have long been a distinctive feature of domestic literature, forming a unique national mentality. The apocalyptic orientation of the spiritual searches of the Russian intelligentsia of the XIX - early XX century.
