In this edition of the I and II parts of "Russian history in the compressed essay" M.N. Pokrovsky text is printed unchanged from the 10th edition of the same parts of the "compressed essay", which came out during the life of the author, viewed and corrected by him for printing. At the end of the book, the application is given - an article by M. N. Pokrovsky, which is a substantially necessary addition to the "compressed essay". In the attached article "On Russian Feudalism, the origin and nature of absolutism in Russia", all quotes from the works of Marx, Engels, Lenin were verified and corrected according to the new publications of these works. The illustrations of this publication were taken from the fourth posthumous publication, as well as historical maps compiled by prof. K.V. Kudryashev
