And gradually before us, a picture of how for centuries Roman Kuria tried to draw Russia into its orbit, use its human and other resources in exchange for the proposal of the "true faith", to contrast it, if not Turkey, then to the Habsburgers, if not the Habsburgs - then reformation. Not experiencing sympathy for Russian autocracy, the author, however, managed to move away from the euro -centric gaze traditional for Western historiography and tried to look at what was happening, including from the point of view of Russian interests.
