Reports of Swedish agents about the Khovanshchina, 1682-1683

Within the framework of this publication, the reports of the Swedish agents about the events of the Streletsky uprising of 1B82, which were preserved in the Swedish State Archive in Stockholm, are published for the first time. The Swedish royal court carefully monitored the actions of the archers and the political struggle in the Moscow state during the Khovanschina. Detailed letters-subsidies came to Stockholm from agents in Narva, Novgorod, Pskov and Moscow.
The book shows both the original text of the reports and their Russian translation. The text of the source is accompanied by detailed comments by two articles telling about the Swedish agents network in Russia in 1b82 and how information from Swedish reports helps to look at the history of the Sagittarius Troubles in a new way.
