The fifth and final volume of the work of the remarkable Soviet and Russian historian Yuri Georgievich Alekseev (1926–2017) contains studies on the social, economic and political history of the North-West of Russia-the monograph “Pskov Sudden and its time. The development of feudal relations in Russia of the XIV - XV centuries. ” And we want to go to Moscow: the sunset of the Boyarsky Republic in Novgorod. As an appendix to these monographs, a number of works are published that complement and clarify the conclusions of the historian. This is a cycle of articles devoted to the source-stage and historical and legal analysis of the Pskov judgment, other legal texts, the legal terminology of documents of the XIV-XV centuries. Tom also contains a new edition of the Pskov judgment, reflected the paleographic division of the text into articles proposed by Yu. G. Alekseev. The final articles of the collection are devoted to the history of the era of Grand Duke Ivan III, which reveal the context of events set forth in the monograph on the Novgorod Republic
