The book is devoted to the key problems of the political history of Rus" to the XVI century. The first part of the work discusses the stages of political development in the pre -Mongol period. The issues of the development stage of the East Slavic society on the eve of the formation of the state of Rus" are studied, about the so -called foreign influence on the formation of ancient Russian statehood, about the territorial structure of Rus", and the time of political fragmentation. The second part is devoted to princely power: the principles of its inheritance and princely title are investigated. In the third part, we are talking about the political changes that occurred in the era of the Horde rule in Eastern Europe. Problems such as territorial-political changes in Rus" are considered, the question of political continuity between Kiev, Vladimir and Moscow, as well as factors that led the Moscow princes to the supreme power.
