The monograph is dedicated to the situation in the Russian abroad in the conditions of World War II and the first post -war years.
Based on the use of documents of Russian and foreign archives, the periodical of those years, memoirs and other historical sources, the living conditions of Russian emigrants in Europe and beyond the ocean, their legal status, the role in the life of the diaspora of the Russian Orthodox Church are shown. Particular attention was paid to the relations of Russian emigrants with the Soviet Union in the 1939-early 1950s. The application presents excerpts from documents characterizing individual aspects of the topic in question.
