The reader of this book - at least it seems to me - about fifteen to sixteen. Or maybe more. Maybe thirty, forty, and seventy. Actually, only two things are required from the reader: to be an adult (or almost an adult) person and remember children"s books well. Therefore, it is better if he was a child recently. Or he has sons and daughters who have recently come out of childhood.
Because we will have a conversation about adult secrets of children"s books. More precisely, books considered children"s. About the adults standing behind them, sometimes not very funny stories. About their secret meanings that are not clear to young readers. Some of these stories occurred in distant countries. And many in Russia, in St. Petersburg (Leningrad), and more recently. The heroes of the stories are people from flesh and blood. In other people, it seems to be not, but there are stray images and plots living in their own separate life, reflecting in each other as in mirrors.
Children"s (or considered children"s) writers were very different people. Some are childish, and some are very different for children, gloomy, boring. Good and not very. Funny and sad. Believers and unbelievers. Sometimes even a little crazy.
Our book about some of them can become more interesting. Only about some
