The book is dedicated to the history of the so -called "heresy of the Jews of the tricky" of the end of the XV - early XVI centuries. Based on the meticulous codicological analysis of the heresies, the use of new paper dating, comparing handwriting, the author managed to come to new conclusions.
It is shown how the accusations of the Novgorod archbishop Gennady changed over time. The key to the Cathedral of 1490, which defined a number of ideas and traditional practices as a "Jewish custom", was recognized as key.
Particular attention is paid to the biased accusations of the head of the Zosima Church. Joseph"s support in the fight against the Metropolitan became the beginning of the anti -eret activity of the Monk in 1493/94.
Clarification of the relationship between the lists of the Enlightener Joseph Volotsky, the main source by heresy, made it possible to conclude about its much more complex history
