Count Burchard Christoph von Munny (in Russia - Christopher Antonovich Minich, 1683 - 1767) - Russian Field Marshal of German origin, father of memoirist Johann Ernst Minikh. In 1700-1720, he served as an engineer in the French, Hesse-Darmstadt, Hesse-Kassel and Polish-Saxon armies. In 1721, he arrived in Russia to conduct engineering affairs, conceived by Peter I. In 1722 he was promoted to Lieutenant General, in 1726, already under Catherine I, to the Anthefa general. In 1727, Emperor Peter II, who moved with his court to Moscow, appoints Minikh the ruler of St. Petersburg. C 1728 He is the count, Governor -General of Ingermanland, Karelia and Finland (until 1734) After the accession to the throne of Anna Ioannovna Khristofor Antonovich in a short time (1730-1732) was granted by Feldzekhmeister General, President of the Military College, and on February 25 (March 7), 1732-Field Marshal.
