“NELENING BOLSHEVISM” by A. A. Bogdanov and “Forwards”. Ideas, alternatives, practice

The book is dedicated to the history of the “Forward” group (1909–1917) as the experts of the ideas of left Bolshevism and “forward” as a wider phenomenon, as well as the ideas of A. A. Bogdanov about socialism and the ways of coming to it and attempts to implement them. On a wide range of sources, primarily archival and printed, but are bibliographic rarity, the author studies the process of creation, software installations and activities of the “Forward” group and party schools for workers in Capri and Bologna, considered by A. Bogdanov as the first attempt to realize his idea About the “Proletarian University”, the Bogdanov concept of socialism and the ways of coming to it, attempts to implement Bogdanov’s ideas about “proletarian culture” and his activity in the prolet culture, showed the fundamental difference between Bogdanov’s views and the Leninist version of Bolshevism. The study of unrealized alternatives to Lenin Bolshevism is important for the refutation of existing mythologized ideas about Bolshevism
