The book was written on the basis of diaries conducted by Joseph Davis, US Ambassador to the USSR in 1936-1938. The publication of the ambassadors in the States in 1942 caused an ambiguous reaction in the world media, which for the most part came to the conclusion that “this is the most notorious propaganda of the Soviet Union. Nothing similar in any country has yet been published, it is possible that in the USSR too. ”
