Museums of the Urals in the history of Russia of the XX century

The proposed book is the first attempt to summarize the history of the development of museums of the Soviet Urals in the context of the general concept of the activities of domestic museums. The authors introduce the reader into a range of issues reflecting the social functions of museums in the Urals, their research work, stock, exposition and cultural and educational activities throughout the 20th century. The book is illustrated by photographs and drawings, some of which are represented by materials from personal archives and photo archives of museums.
The publication is addressed to both specialists and a wide circle of readers interested in Russian history, the history of domestic museums, Russian culture and local history
