Militant modernism. Protection of modernism from its defenders

The task of this book is to protect modernism from its defenders. In its own way, interpreting modern design, cinema, pop culture and especially architecture, the author seeks to save the revolutionary component of modernism from its absorption “Heritage Industry” and the aesthetics of premium housing. “Militant modernism” contains new interpretations of familiar names - Bertolt Brecht, Le Corbusier, but is more devoted to the less famous modernists of the 20th century, who occupied ordinary architecture. The author affects the theme of industrial and brutalist aesthetics in Britain, Russian constructivism in architecture, Socons and ideas of Wilhelm Raich in cinema and design, the effect of removal of Brecht and Hans Eisler in music and on the screen for the only purpose - to advocate the modernism of everyday life with his issues of socialism, Sexual Policy and Technologies.
