The new book of Irina Zakharova is a candidate of art history, senior researcher at the department of aesthetic education of children and the youth of the Museum of Museum of Sciences named after A.S. Pushkin, a collector and an expert on the People’s Folk toy - is dedicated to Jiangi, Chinese traditional art of paper cutting. Chinese paper clipping is the finest openwork compositions carved by special scissors from a single, specially folded sheet of paper, usually red. In China, such clippings decorate the walls and windows of dwellings, shop windows, separate items. The plot of the book is built in the form of a fairy tale about the journey of the girl Marusi to China, to the Sheny province, to visit a well -known hereditary craftswoman of paper clipping. According to the images on the magical circle of Jiangi Marusya, he meets Chinese mythological plots and folk customs, fairy tales and riddles, hieroglyphs and concepts standing behind them and gradually begins to better understand the beauty and diversity of the culture of China
