This publication is the publication of one of the most important and most interesting sources on the history of ancient Russia and the language of the Eastern Slavs - the Kyiv Chronicle, covering the period from 1118 to 1200. The text is published according to the most early Ipatievsky list of the beginning of the 15th century, well reflecting the language of the chronicle of the XII in the chronicle of the XII in ., with discrepancies on later lists - Khlebnikovsky XVI century. and Pogodinsky XVII century., Paleographic notes and a grammatical description of the language of the annals.

Compared to previous publications, a reconciliation of the manuscript was carried out, the word is clarified, new readings of some difficult places are given. The publication of the Kyiv annals is first equipped with a pointer in which all the word forms available in the monument with their complete grammatical characteristics are presented.
