Fedor Fedorovich Rodkolnikov (real name - Ilyin) (1892-1939) - Soviet military and statesman, diplomat. During the preparation and holding of the October Revolution, one of the leaders of the Kronstadt Party Organization, a member of the Bureau of the Military Organization at the Central Committee and the PC of the RSDLP (b) In 1917 he was one of the organizers of the July rebellion in Kronstadt, Raskolnikov was arrested, but then released. In November 1917, at the head of a detachment of sailors, he was sent to Moscow to suppress anti -Bolshevik speeches. In the shortest possible time, Raskolnikov’s detachment destroyed all resistance in the city with the most cruel methods.
Raskolnikov devotes his book to the revolution from February 1917 to the victory of October in Petrograd, Moscow and Kronstadt.
For a better understanding of the complexity and tragicity of the events taking place, the book gives an excerpt from the memoirs of the naval officer Garald Karlovich Count, who became an involuntary witness to the bloody reprisals of sailors over the ranks of the Baltic Fleet in Kronstadt in March 1917
