She shows in which direction it is worth moving in order to better understand specific works, currents and artists representing this period, which puzzles and at a dead end of many spectators.
We meet with contemporary art everywhere: not only in museums and art galleries, but also just on the street. Despite these frequent meetings, it still surprises us, and sometimes it disturbs or even annoys. To make contemporary art more understandable, the author tells about it in a simple language that is not available to specialists. The book consists of two parts: the task of the first is to give the reader self -confidence, explaining to him the main trends in the art of this time. The second part is thirty analysis of specific works. They are built as a sequence of issues that can be discussed with children, and are divided into conditional age groups-5-7 years old, 8-10 years old and senior-from 11-13 years old. These questions help to come into contact with the work, move from peering into it to interpret, and then proceed to generalization, that is, draw conclusions about the corresponding period and about the artist.
